becoming an expert traveller at 9 years old

this is my speech presentations do the class and for a test

this is what i said in my speech

Becoming and experience traveller at 9 years old!!  Well this started with a 3am wake up to get to our 4am check in at Christchurch airport.  Although it was an early start it meant we could have Burger King for breakfast!! yes.

After a 3 hour flight we arrived at Brisbane airport.  For Christmas we found out we were doing
a house swap with a family who came over to NZ to use our house, car and lake while we got to
use their house, car and swimming pool in Brisbane!  After arriving at the accommodation it only
took me 5 mins to get in the pool and swim……………let me just say that it was still only 9am in the
morning there when I first went swimming.
Dad then decided we should do some boxing day shopping which we did get some bargins……..but the $70 parking bill took away any savings we had made.

One of the activities that we did was visit Dreamworld were meet lots of cartoon characters and
got to try out some awesome rides.  This first one looked like a nice sweet ride but it had 2
speeds and on the 2nd speed it went so fast, upside down, round and round to the point where
mum would not stop screaming.  She got off that ride and looks like she was going to be sick.

The 2nd ride I loved was the wipeout.  This ride was like being inside a washing machine.  Dad got
off this ride and looked like he was going to be sic k to.  Was I the only one who could handle
these rides???!!!

A major highlight for me on this trip was a visit to Lego World, this is my heaven!!!  There was
all things Lego with my favourites being this real life size tiger and this Hulk.

We had a once in a lifetime experience when we went to visit a camel farm.  We got to have a
ride on a camel and then learn about how they milk them. Random fact:   If you have esxma,
drinking camels milk can make it go away.

Another great day out was when we went to visit Australia Zoo. The croc show was my favourite
part of the day.  We got to do some awesome photo shoots, got to see and touch some animals like
snakes, birds and of course kangaroos.

One of the last activities we did was visit Ozzie World which was a theme park more for younger
children but I got a fright on some of those ride and of course mum still scream because she is
such a woose.

I love how my parents take us on these fantastic holidays and how cool is it that I can say I am
an expert traveller at the age of 9!

  1. Lockie that is a fantastic speech and I loved how you show your appreciated to Dad and I for taking you on all these trips. Just a next step you need to look at the layout of speech on your blog as all the writing goes over the side.

    Thank for sharing.

    Regards,

    Mum
